British Airways has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Lisbon, Portugal down to between $476 and $558 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop in London (Heathrow) each way.
You can also turn these into a 2-in-1 Multi City trip and visit both London *and* Lisbon for $558 roundtrip (keep scrolling down for more info).
Or you can book these as an Open Jaw, where you fly from Vancouver to London and then Lisbon to Vancouver, for $463 CAD roundtrip.
Or you can book these as an Open Jaw, where you fly from Vancouver to Madrid (or Barcelona) and then Lisbon to Vancouver, for $577 CAD roundtrip.

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with one of the following Google Flights searches:

- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
- Browse for the cheapest dates by adjusting the trip length at the bottom.
IMPORTANT: When you're clicking through on Google Flights, and you get to the last page and see $860, *in some cases* you may need to keep scrolling down to the 'Book with American' button below. You should see $558 beside the button.
UPDATE: On Google Flights, I'm noticing that the price now jumps up into the $700s or $800s roundtrip after you select some dates or click through a few pages. But if you try the same dates on FlightHub in Step 2 below, they can sometimes still be booked for $476-$561 roundtrip.
2. Go to FlightHub or Kayak or Skyscanner
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
You can also turn these into a 2-in-1 trip and visit both London *and* Lisbon for $558 roundtrip

Google Flights: Vancouver to London and then to Lisbon and then back to Vancouver
Vancouver (YVR) to London (LHR)
London (LHR) to Lisbon (LIS)
Lisbon (LIS) to Vancouver (YVR)
2. Try using dates that are similar to the roundtrip dates you found on Google Flights above.
For example, if you found a cheap roundtrip flight from February 23 to March 6, try starting with...
March 7 to March 9 to March 20
You may need to keep the London and Lisbon flights within 2 days of each other for the price to remain low.
Or you can book these as an Open Jaw, where you fly from Vancouver to London and then Lisbon to Vancouver, for $463 CAD roundtrip
And then it's up to you to get from London to Lisbon. Typically a one way flight from London to Lisbon is around $40-$80 CAD.

UPDATE: The flights have longer layovers (4-6 hours) but there are now some Vancouver to Lisbon flights in May and June for $686 roundtrip. The other Multi-City options involving London, Barcelona, and Madrid are also available in May and June for around $100-$130 more than they were previously.
UPDATE - Kiwi is showing a few of these Vancouver - Lisbon flights for $390 CAD roundtrip. I'm skeptical they can be ticketed for this price, since they are the only one showing this price. But I updated the Skyscanner link in Step 2 of the blog post that points to an example. Other dates that may work include: Jan 14, 20, 21, 22, 28 or Feb 4, 10 to Feb 3, 4, 11, 18, 25.
