Air Canada Vacations has dropped the price of a 1 week all inclusive package (hotel, meals, drinks, transfers) from Vancouver to the Emporio Ixtapa in Ixtapa, Mexico down to $688 CAD (per person) including taxes.
The Emporio Ixtapa has 4 circles on TripAdvisor with 54% of reviews rating it as Excellent. Most places rate it as a 4*.
The flights from Vancouver to Ixtapa are with Air Canada and are non-stop both ways.
Flights to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (ZIH) are always pretty expensive, and non-stop flights alone would usually cost about the same price as this package.
NOTE: The packages at the Emporio are what are known as 'almost all inclusive'. The difference between an 'almost all inclusive' and a regular 'all inclusive' are:
- you don't get the top shelf hard alcohol unless you pay for it
- domestic beer only
- unlimited alcohol may only be during certain hours (11 AM - 11 PM at Emporio)
- dinner is buffet style, instead of a la carte
For more info on the 'almost all inclusive' plan you can check out the Air Canada Vacations website. (They call it 'semi all inclusive')
