1. First we need to find a normal one-way flight from Vancouver to Montreal....
Google Flights: Vancouver to Montreal
- click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations
- look for the dates that are $198 CAD with Air Transat

- you can find other one-way flights throughout the year for $212 to $232.
2. For a very cheap flight home from Montreal, we get a little more creative.

- You'll notice these are WestJet flights where you fly from Montreal to Vancouver, and then Vancouver to Quebec City (all on the same day), for a total of only $95 !
*But*, we will only be using the Montreal to Vancouver portion of this flight, and skipping out on the Vancouver to Quebec City leg.
When you pair this $95 WestJet flight with the $198 Air Transat flight above, you can fly non-stop from Vancouver to Montreal and back for a total of $293 CAD roundtrip.
