Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Nice, France down to $796 CAD roundtrip including taxes for peak summer travel, including the months of July and August 2017.
Vancouver to Paris, France (CDG) is also available, for a similar price.
You may also be able to book these for even less, for between $696 to $720 CAD roundtrip through Flight Centre, with the '$100 off' Black Friday promotion that they are currently running (see below for details).
Getting yourself from Vancouver to Europe in the months of July or August in the high $600s CAD roundtrip is no small feat. Most travelers will end up paying 1.5-2X that amount.

1. Flight Centre is offering a promotion for $100 off of all international flights from Vancouver, provided that the flight is a minimum of $750 CAD roundtrip.
There are no blackout dates.
The promotion expires on November 30, 2016.

2. From the list of dates and destinations near the top of this blog post, try searching on the Flight Centre website.
You should see flights from Vancouver to Nice, France (NCE) or Paris, France (CDG) for around $796 to $820 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
3. Next, call Flight Centre at 1-877-967-5302 to book the flight. They will subtract $100 from the price shown on their website.
Calling in, or visiting a Flight Centre location is the only way to receive the discount.
