Vancouver to Halifax - $234 (CB) to $318 CAD roundtrip including taxes [Nonstop Flights]

Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Halifax, Nova Scotia down to between $234 and $318 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are nonstop both ways.
Vice-versa flights (Halifax to Vancouver) are also available for a similar roundtrip price.
I consider $234 roundtrip to be Air Canada's clickbait (CB) price because it doesn't include checked luggage or carry-on. Not exactly a realistic way to travel. It's a price offered primarily to appear to be the cheapest in search engines and then upsell you.
$318 roundtrip is the more realistic price because at least it includes checked luggage.
But those with certain Aeroplan credit cards can take advantage of the clickbait price as free checked luggage is included.
WestJet is also showing a few cheap 1-stop flights from Vancouver to Sydney, Nova Scotia.

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with the following Google Flights search:

- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
- Explore for the cheapest dates by adjusting the trip length at the bottom.
- Look for the dates that are $234 to $263 roundtrip.
2. At this point, there are a few different ways you can book these flights...
For $263 roundtrip. This includes *only* a personal item (something that can fit under the seat in front of you).
- Those with certain Aeroplan credit cards can still bring free checked bags for themselves (and those travelling with them) and may find this fare useful. Remember to link your Aeroplan number to your reservation.
- To book this price go to Skyscanner or Kayak
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
*OR*
For $318 roundtrip. This includes a personal item and a checked bag. But not carry-on.
- To book this price click through from Google Flights to the Air Canada website using the 'Basic' fare. And then add a checked bag for $74 roundtrip.
- Note that you do not actually pay for the $74 checked bag at the time of booking. You need to do that later by going to the Air Canada website or app and going to 'My Trips' and entering your details.
