United/Continental just drastically dropped the price of their flights to the following cities in an unadvertised fare drop...

Managua, Nicaragua (MGA)
From Vancouver, if you can get to Central America for around $700 or slightly less, you've done better than most ever will. Prices in the $300's are pretty much unheard of.
The range of affected prices looks to be in September, October, November.
Here are some example searches on Kayak to each city, in late November (good time to go, dry season).
In each search, I would recommend clicking on 'Multiple Airlines' to use a combination of United and Continental. It seems to give far better flight times.

United and Continental just dumped the price of their flights to Taipei, Taiwan in a serious way. They're down to $743 roundtrip after tax at the moment, which is even 20% cheaper than Air China who is usually 20% cheaper than everyone else. It's even 20% cheaper than out of Seattle. This is definitely the cheapest I've ever seen flights to Taiwan.
