China Southern is showing flights from Vancouver to Beijing and Shanghai, China for between $324 and $354 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
This is a new record for the cheapest roundtrip flights between Vancouver and China.
The flights have 1 stop each way in Guangzhou, China.
Qingdao, China (TAO) is also available for $324 CAD roundtrip. (Qingdao is near Laoshan, a scenic mountainous area).
China Southern is actually a pretty decent airline (4 star Skytrax rating). I often see people confuse China Southern with China Eastern, a lower quality airline.

Google Flights: Vancouver to Beijing, China (PEK)
Google Flights: Vancouver to Shanghai, China (PVG)
Google Flights: Vancouver to Qingdao, China (TAO)
- click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations
- look for the dates that are between $474 and $504 roundtrip
2. Go to Skyscanner or Expedia
3. Search for a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to Beijing (PEK) or Shanghai (PVG)
- Use the same dates you found on Google Flights
