Aeromexico has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Buenos Aires, Argentina down to $771 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way in Mexico City for 3 hours (about as fast as Vancouver-Argentina can be done).
UPDATE - There are still flights available in the $700s CAD roundtrip, but it seems like the cheap flights with good layovers in both directions are gone. The cheaper ones now have a 12 hour layover in Mexico City on the way down.
