Vancouver to Dublin, Ireland - $615 roundtrip including taxes | August 2015
29
January
Currently there are flights showing on WestJet in August 2015 from Vancouver to Dublin, Ireland (DUB) for $615 roundtrip including taxes.
Previously I was noticing these super cheap flights on select dates in September & October, but $600 roundtrip flights to Europe during a peak summer travel month like August? That's a whole new level of deal.
There is a caveat though. Most of Westjet's flights from Western Canada to Europe involve multiple stops each way. Usually they stop at least once in Eastern Canada (Toronto, typically) and then again in Newfoundland to refuel for the journey across the pond.
There are some that still have pretty reasonable travel times overall, considering the multiple stops.
How to find and book these flights
At the moment, I'm only seeing the August 2015 flights on FlightHub. This worries me a little bit, because I have seen a small number of cases of people thinking they have something booked on FlightHub, only to turn out it was a ticket that could not really be issued at the price quoted.
But on the other hand, I've also been seeing similar fares directly on WestJet.com the past few days, albeit on select dates in September and October, which does lend credence to this being a bookable fare.
Here's how to find the ones in August on FlightHub....
1. Go to FlightHub and search for Vancouver to Dublin. Use one of the following date combinations...
August 18-31 direct link, 2 adults, $578
(scroll down to look for the faster flights, not the ones with 24+ hours of travel time)

Update: Feb 02 @ 11:11 AM PST - I'm getting error messages when trying to search for any flights on FlightHub today, whether searching manually or through the direct links above, to any destination.

It's puzzling...flights to Dublin on westjet are cheaper to book through flighthub vs Westjet itself!
How come this deal is not getting much love? I'm seriously considering booking this. Air Canada just dropped their fare to $783 Cdn.
Hi Charlie,
It seems to be a pretty popular one on Facebook. If you're referring to the number of comments on this post, I find it hard to predict which posts will get a lot of comments and which ones won't! Sometimes it takes a few comments to get the ball rolling.
Does WestJet come with free meals for international flights like this?
I just booked Aug 26 - Sep 16, 585.88!!!
Thanks for the alert Chris!
Strange that YVR Deals is listing this "cheap" deal but it quoting in US dollars, NOT Canadian....even thought it's YVR! It's not as cheap as it looks but still the lowest I've seen.
^ it is in Canadian dollars..
Kirsten: I can assure you that I only ever post prices in Canadian dollars, and encourage everyone to *only* ever discuss or share prices in Canadian dollars. Always have, always will.
Especially these days, where the currency disparity makes a huge difference (over 20%), and can make some prices look a lot more attractive than they really are (since a lot of travel websites quote in $USD).
Just curious as to what made you think the prices were in $USD ?
Hey thanks Chris!. I've booked my flight May 1 to May 18 to Ireland. Never would have guessed I would be going to Ireland for holiday. If anyone else going around the same time maybe we could travel together!
Deal seems to be dead.. Unless Westjet is refreshing their rates. Sucks because my friend was going to book a flight to join me there.
Scratch that.. deal popped up again.. it seems they are changing the routes available, etc..
