The flights have 1 stop in Istanbul, Turkey (or Toronto) each way.

How to find and book this deal
1. Start with the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Vancouver to Europe
2. Change the destination in Google Flights to the one you are interested in.
3. Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view.
- Look for the dates that are under $600 roundtrip.
- You will need to scroll through all of the months to find these, only certain dates are available in certain months for each destination.
4. Go to the Turkish Airlines website
- Search for a one way flight
- Try the same destination and dates you found on Google Flights
