Air France and KLM have dropped the price of their business class flights from Vancouver to places in Europe, The Middle East, and Africa down to between $2022 and $2500 CAD roundtrip after taxes.
This is approximately 50% cheaper than the typical best prices for business class.
Dates throughout 2022 and early 2023 are available, including July and August.
Which available destination is the furthest away from Vancouver? That would be the tropical paradise, island nation of Mauritius (MRU) clocking in at 16,713 km from YVR. With approximately 20 hours of flying time each way, you'll be thankful for the lie flat seats.
Update: The Star Alliance is now matching these prices on certain routes to Europe. You can find business class flights with Lufthansa from Vancouver to Paris or Amsterdam in the low $2000s roundtrip. Try starting with the Google Flights 'Lufthansa only' link below.

Hi Sharon, the number of dates available to JRO is really low. Even when these fares first came out there weren't that many to JRO. If you start with the Google Flights link above, try changing the dates to:
May 2, 3 to May 16
Nov 13, 15 to Nov 28, 30, Dec 5, 7
Nov 21 to Nov 30, Dec 5, 7
Nov 22, 24 to Dec 7
Jan 17 to Jan 23, 30
Jan 31 to Feb 13
Those dates are still showing for under $2600 roundtrip.
Hmm Can't seem to find anything in the $2000 range..Perhaps already gone up in price?
Yes they went back to normal price yesterday. But I would not say 'already' they were around for a while.

What are the odds this deal comes back around?
With some deals, there is a history of the deal repeating. Prior to the pandemic for example, you could always count on ANA offering up a great deal to Japan every now and then. So even though a deal appearing again is never certain, you could at least say with confidence they were likely to appear again.
But this deal from Air France / KLM doesn't really have a history and surely relates to the drop in business class demand caused by the pandemic. So whether we ever see it again may depend on how quickly the demand for business class travel recovers.
