For someone who was about to go to Cancun March 2020 - flying with Interjet non-stop, I personally would not recommend this airline. I bought the tix back in March of 2019 because I saw a deal for $250 round trip and booked immediately. Booked my resort/rides as well. Fast forward to September, I get an email saying my flight has now changed and there will be a stop in Mexico City - more travel time. Yeah, no thanks. Emailed back and forth with Interjet to try to get a refund but had my hopes super low due to reviews online saying it takes forever and you might not even get one back. Thankfully, my story has a happy ending and I was able to get a refund but not until two months later. My colleague is still trying to reach out to Interjet to get her refund and she booked the same day as me.
I’ve read other reviews to where people have said Interjet is amazing so take mine as a grain of salt.
I agree with Amy's comment above.
I helped my parent's get a 'great' deal on Interjet to Cancun (direct). Their flight was changed to a connecting flight through Mexico City each way. Interjet didn't offer any compensation eventhough the days don't even match up with the original booking. My parent's are out a night of accommodation that they can't get refunded because of the new dates Interjet gave them.
Their flight was delayed by an hour leaving Vancouver causing them to miss their connection in Mexico City. They ended up staying an extra 4 hours at the airport in Mexico City. All of this when they had originally booked a direct flight to Cancun.
They are in Mexico now. I'll have to wait and see how things go on their travels home.
In the future, I'll be ignoring all deals posted here for Interjet flights as it has been a terrible experience.
Booking with them really seems to be rolling the dice.
