WestJet and Air Canada have dropped the price of their late October, November, and December 2023 flights from Vancouver to Palm Springs, California down to $209 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights are nonstop both ways.
Dates over Christmas are currently available (Dec 18, 19, 20 to Dec 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29).
Dates between January and May 2024 are $60 more roundtrip.
UPDATE - Dates over Christmas are available again for $236 CAD roundtrip. November dates are also available.

1. Start with the following Google Flights search:
Google Flights: Vancouver to Palm Springs
- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
- Adjust the trip length at the bottom.
- Look for the dates that are $257 roundtrip.
3. Search for a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to Palm Springs (PSP)
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.

On the deal YVR to Palm Springs I can only book one passenger at a time (maybe this is standard on these deals?). Should I be concerned if I then cannot book the person I am travelling with I'd have a problem?

Google Flights is a bit unusual when it comes to displaying prices. If you change the number of passengers to 2 it is actually displaying the total price for 2 passengers. A lot of other search sites continue to show the price per passenger in this situation so I think it likely confuses a lot of people.
So if you change the number of passengers to 2, look for the dates that are now showing as around $515 roundtrip in the calendar.
And then when you go to Kayak, just set the number of passengers to 2 when trying the same dates and it should show booking options around $216 to $250 CAD per person and take you to booking pages where you can book 2 passengers simultaneously.
