"I'm a travel junkie who's hooked on deals from YVR." - Chris Myden

Seattle to many places in Europe in the high $500s, low $600s CAD roundtrip | mainly offseason, but also some in August

Europe

The Star Alliance has dropped the price of their flights from Seattle to many places in Europe and Northern Africa down into the high $500s and low $600s CAD roundtrip.

Some of the overseas legs are operated by Lufthansa. Some are operated by SWISS. Some are operated by Air Canada. Some are operated by United Airlines. Try to choose flights with the first 3 if you can.

You can also fly into one European city, and then home from a different city - and keep the price about the same.

Update 10/17 @ 12:30 PM PST - It looks like this price drop from United may be about to end. Starting to see price jumps to $1200+ after selecting the flights in Google Flights. However, American Airlines has responded with low prices to a few destinations. I've marked those destinations with a ** below.

Availability for travel

A lot of the available dates are in the fall of 2019, or the winter and spring of 2020.

But many destinations are showing dates available for August 2020 travel.

Some destinations also have availability over New Year's (late December 2019 to January 2020), mainly departing on December 30 and 31, 2019.

Google flights is sending me to United but I tried like 5 times and also tried to book over the phone, as I get an error, no matter what card I use. The operator said the price they see is different and he’s right, there’s a different price if I do the search through United website, in short, it’s not working for me :(

I booked another trip on two deal! Could you give me advice:
On my way back I have connection at YVR, I am traveling just with carry on , so let’s say I don’t want to continue to another flight should I tell them or just leave ?My base airport is YVR ;) thank you

    Hi Ryan,

You may want to try searching for the same flight through Skyscanner or Momondo and see if you can book it through somewhere other than United's website. In some cases, it may only be bookable through a partner airline's website (Air Canada for example) or a third party booking site.

Ivan: Assuming you just have carry-on, you can certainly leave the airport at YVR. You don't have to tell them. Airline's automatically cancel all remaining legs on your ticket once you intentionally miss a leg, so you can only do this when it's on your way home.
