Air Canada has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Lisbon, Portugal down to $608 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop in Montreal each way.
Vancouver to Barcelona or Madrid, Spain are also available for ~$760 roundtrip.
You can also find open-jaw flights where you fly into Lisbon and then home from Barcelona (or the other way around) for $679 roundtrip (more info below).
UPDATE 1: Lufthansa is now showing flights from Vancouver to Porto, Portugal for $658 CAD roundtrip. The flights have 1 stop each way in Frankfurt. Most dates are in late October and November. A few in Jan/Feb. You can also fly into Lisbon and then home from Porto for $603 roundtrip (details below).
UPDATE 2: Looks like all of the cheap ones to Lisbon have sold out. Vancouver to Porto is still available for $658 roundtrip in October, November, first half of December, February, and March. Vancouver to Barcelona, Spain is available for $761-$799 roundtrip on large variety of dates between September and March.
