Philippine Airlines has dropped the price of their flights from Vancouver to Thailand and Vietnam down to $854 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 1 stop each way, in Manila.
In a world where flights to SE Asia now routinely cost a minimum of $1500-$1800 CAD roundtrip, this is a refreshing price to see, especially for winter travel.
You can also find flights to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (KUL) and Singapore (SIN) for roughly the same price.
UPDATE @ 10 PM PST: It looks like this has sold out. I will update if I see any more working dates. Air Canada and ANA are showing a few dates for $1081 roundtrip. Try Feb 3 or 5 to Feb 21.

- Click on the departure date box to open up the calendar view and browse for cheap date combinations.
- Adjust the trip length at the bottom.
- Look for the dates that are $894 roundtrip.
(UPDATE: The $919 dates now seem easier to book than the $894 dates).
2. Go to Kayak or Skyscanner
3. Search for a flight from Vancouver (YVR) to...
Bangkok, Thailand (BKK)
or
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (SGN)
- Try the same dates you found on Google Flights.
